This outstanding Victorian ring is 1870 ca
It is rendered in a stunning Victorian workmanship rendered in 18 Kt topped by silver on the Diamonds housing, unidentified inside marks and lovely engravings in the inside shank as part of its history
tithe beautiful double row design is distinguished of the era, with one row set with a main Diamond solitaire whilst the opposite side boasts a natural not nucleated salt water pearl as main gemstone, classy, romantic of kissing ring
Larger Diamond is a bright white old mine cut Diamond of .70 CT – H VS1 .- Pearl is 6 mm. diameter white silvery, special sheen and silky lustre – complementary Diamonds are .60 Ct between Rose Cut and Old mine cut rated G/H VVS/SI
Please note the main Diamond has a natural on one girdle facet , this means that it was left unpolished by the cutter of the time, not a flaw but born with the Diamond and part of its history – You will need a very strong jewellery magnify to detect it, just a note to the unacknowledged buyers, this does not detract from beauty or value, unlike modern diamonds, old mine cut diamonds were cut and polished long before precision diamond cutting equipment was available. As such, you can often find asymmetrical features and imperfections in old mine cut diamonds
The ring is 12 mm. at widest part with 5.3 grams gross weight
