Very representative and distinctive Victorian period Etruscan revival earrings and pendant set, beautifully hand fabricated by MONTELATICI Angiolo e fratelli , Firenze (1860\/1880) bearing the original maker label active in Florence till 1880<\/p>\n
Fantastic Etruscan design, especially for the earrings which are truly beautiful in design with richly detailed gold workmanship exalting the Pietra Dura artwork at best<\/p>\n
The large oval pendant is to complete the set with larger flowery Pietra Dura composition, masterfully done with all hues of colour’s shadows for 3-D effect, gold frame and large bail resembling the amazing ancient Etruscan workmanship in vogue during that time, tested for 18 KT gold, assay on the earrings wires<\/p>\n
They come in the original fitted case making the set more meaningful and rare<\/p>\n
Fine condition keeping with age- pendant probably originated as locket with missed glass and window, little dent on top of the locket bail<\/p>\n
Collector past art-piece, amazing when worn!<\/p>\n
