These beautiful Victorian period earrings are 1890 /1900 ca
Originated in Florence where the Pietra Dura Mosaic was specially curated under ‘I Medici’ giving life to a true fabric of wonders for any sort of decorative art including jewellery
Hand crafted of solid 18 KT gold in the traditional setting with a rope in between the border exalting the Black Ardesia background
Many precious types of hard-stones where expertly used to create two beautiful flying birds richly detailed and artfully represented, the more stones you find in the mosaic the more valuable and accurate they are
They measure 32 x 24 mm. including the gold frame 17 mm. diameter the Mosaic alone with 10 .2 grams gross weight
