1890 ca, hand crafted of solid 18 Kt gold silver portions over gold for the diamond mounting, not identified hallmarks present, possibly north Europe
Superb design inspired by the centre, large, cushion shaped, main stone, created to exalt its rare beauty at maximum, having a special rich gold setting for the Rubellite, getting into fabulous contrast with the icy Diamond sparkle given by the myriad of rose cut Diamond set into tiers
The imposing crown is connected to a gorgeous flowery carved shank, leaf detailed throughout
The centre is a large cushion cut natural Rubellite, also called Red Tourmaline, of known 10.95 Ct (14.1 x 13.2 mm.) no evidence of heating or treatment of any sort, stunning Red Magenta colour, vivid and vibrant for an outstanding focal point to the ring
60 antique rose cut Diamonds disposed into two tiers add special charisma and lovely twinkling, Diamonds roughly estimated 1.10 CT TCW
Crown of the ring is 23 x 21 mm. (h. x w.) with 11.0 grams
UK size: M ¼ – US size: 6.25 , we will rather not re-size it to keep its integrity in full
The ring is in excellent overall condition, keeping with age
