Rare find
This very special Georgian period pearl necklace comprises a triple strand of natural not nucleated sea water pearls Basra origin. They are of course antique pearls, varying in colour and sizes, disposed in graduated sizes forming a lovely necklace completed with its original antique barrel 10 Ct gold closure. Pearls vary in measure for the the shortest strand 2 mm. to 5 mm. – middle strand from 2 mm. to 7 mm. -longer strand is from 2 mm. to 8 1/2 – approximately. total length is approx 40 cm. for the shortest then going longer usually 2 centimetres more slightly more – total weight is 27.6 grams.
Fine conditions throughout keeping with it great age. We estimate approx age 1790 circa.
Italian origin.
The misshaping and variation of colours make it even more fascinating. Three strands of this type is truly unfindable these days.
