We are pleased to be offering this amazing huge plaque brooch from the Victorian period
It features a classic gallant scene skilful hand painted on a large porcelain plaque depicting two lovers of past times in charming combination of pastel colours
This is intact and rather jumbo sized measuring 55 mm. x 45 mm.(h. x w.)
This is like wearing a painting it is beautifully framed by a skilful hand made twisted 14 KT solid gold frame with florentine claws holding the painted miniature
back is covered by (faux) tortoiseshell protecting the plaque and large gold pin with safer in addition to a large top hoop allowing a chain or pearls allowing the use as medallion as well
Marked for 14 kt gold
It is from 1910 ca
