Remarkable design all superbly hand crafted in the glorious Victorian ages!
A rare piece easy to imagine worn by a Victorian lady during the last ages of the 19th century
Words cannot say how beautiful this is worn either as pendant simply by passed by a gold chain or as a remarkable brooch either ways it looks stunning!
The unreal rich scroll work has been hand crafted of solid 18 kt gold topped by silver as used on jewelry of this period – not marked but tested and guaranteed
The piece is centered by a large Natural Australian Opal displaying rich rainbow colour hues – you can find any colour in the Opals it is said that the more the colours are the more are valuable and this is the case!
Same for the large drop hanging at the bottom side
Both Australian opals exceed 20.0 Ct for sure! The oval cabochon cut natural opal is 18.00 mm. x 16.20 mm. – Pear cabochon cut natural opal is 11.36 mm. x 10.67 mm.
They are exquisitely set onto multiclaws settings
All around you find a triumph of scroll and leaf work richly set with various old cut Diamonds from rose cut to old mine cut Diamonds
Here is our estimate for the Diamonds: we counted five old mine cut Diamonds for approx .95 Ct. – there also are 85 rose cut Diamonds for a total estimate of 2.90 Ct calculated by a diamond gauge
TCW for the diamonds is up to 3.80 Ct fair good quality varying in size to fit the design
The brooch is wide measuring 68.9 mm. x 57 mm.
The bottom section by the bow design swivel giving result to the upper section and standing more graceful when worn
